Played at Yoker, Albion, Dalmuir, OK, Westerton, Radnor and Killermont so far this year, Westerton best green, Yoker gets pass marks, Albion awful, rest just ok. If the greenkeeper finds the keys to our lawnmower oor green heads and shoulders above most others.

I would agree NL. For years now our green (with the exception of one year) is the best around, but for years the greenkeeper/committee have held back the cutting of the green to end July/Aug for the finals. Why? To make two guys playing a championship final look like novices when they drop bools in ditches on a green that has speeded up 3 to 4 seconds. In doing this it really does not get the praise it deserves, but that is purely down to cutting it. A good few years ago the general opinion was it might get burnt....well for 4 years the month of July has been the wetest in history so time to turn a good green into a great one me thinks.

Have played on a few greens this year and within the CDBA, I would say Victoria Park was about the best with the worst, without any shadow of a doubt being Dalmuir... played twice there on two different rinks... in alternate directions and it was horrendous twice... and I say that even having won both games.........

Elsewhere, played on Killermont and it was probably the best so far...

None of them have been as good as CBC though, which I think is playing as well as it has in about 15 years... I do agree with the others though that it should be cut down a bit further.......

Having played on our west green in a one day already this season I think it should be mentioned that that this green is playing better than some of the greens i have experienced so far this year. Anyone playing in the millenium and jonathon harvey competitions should have no complaints about being out there for their morning games.

The West Green was once the best between the two, much more true than the East. I think that the main thing for the West is to scarify twice before the 'BIG' tournaments coming up.....I know two clubs in the CBDA have started scarifying once a month and the difference it their green has been massive. As for the East, get the blades sharpened
